Sally Kay is a California-based External Affairs and Public Policy professional with expertise in U.S. state and municipal legislation focused on emerging policies related to technology companies. Over the last decade, she has worked at the forefront of some of the world's most disruptive technologies at the intersection of innovation and public policy, including leading a national campaign to support comprehensive ridesharing legislation for Uber. Currently, at Amazon in San Francisco, Ms. Kay leads partnerships with policymakers, civic leaders, and non-profit organizations in Northern California.
Sally began working in politics for California State Assemblyman Sam Blakeslee in San Luis Obispo while attending graduate school as a young mother. After working in Sacramento as Legislative Director in the state Capitol, she then moved to the Bay Area to pursue working in the private sector. She is passionate about music, having been involved in musical theater and church choir in her early years and later performing as a jazz vocalist.
