Fernando Alcalá is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in public relations and media relations within the sports industry. Currently serving as Senior Communications at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, Fernando manages strategic communication plans for significant projects, such as the $3.8 billion New Terminal 1 initiative. Previously, as Head of PR & Communications at Moyal Enterprises LLC, Fernando enhanced media coverage for clients through strategic relationship-building. Fernando's past roles include Director of Baseball Communications with the Oakland Athletics, where communication strategies were developed for revenue generation and crisis management, as well as positions with the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres, focusing on media relations, content creation, and event execution. Fernando holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from UC Santa Barbara.
