Luis Clement, Psy.D. has a diverse work experience that spans over various fields and roles. Beginning in 1995, they worked as a Community Assistant Supervisor and Teacher Assistant at UC Santa Cruz, where they managed budgets, supervised and trained student staff, and provided instruction and academic support to undergraduates. From 1999 to 2002, they served as an Emergency Credentialed Teacher at San Ysidro School District, focusing on improving the academic performance and attendance of at-risk English language learners. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as an Employment Case Manager at ACS State and Local Solutions, where they developed employment plans and assessed individuals for proper welfare programs. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Practicum Student in the Community Based Block Program, providing counseling services to university students and community members. From 2008 to 2010, they became a Practicum Supervisor at San Diego State University, where they supervised graduate students and provided feedback on counseling theory. Luis then worked as an Assistant Director of the Early Academic Outreach Program at the University of California, San Diego, from 2005 to 2009, where they designed and implemented tutoring and learning skills programs for middle and high school students. Luis obtained a Bachelor's degree in American Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1999. In 2007, they pursued a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Multicultural Counseling from San Diego State University. Continuing their studies in psychology, they earned another Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in 2010. In 2014, they completed their education with a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Multicultural Psychology, also from Alliant International University. Additionally, in 2015-2016, Luis Clement achieved certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional from the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
