Sun-Gi Hong is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in technology and digital innovation. Currently serving as Executive Vice President at Samsung Life Insurance since June 2021, Sun-Gi leads the Digital Innovation Division. Prior to this role, Sun-Gi was an Executive Technology Partner and Principal Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services from November 2019 to June 2021 and held the position of Vice President at Hyundai Card∙Life∙Capital∙Commercial, where responsibilities included developing strategies for the Digital Business Division and managing a diverse team of approximately 100 individuals. Sun-Gi's career also includes tenures at Google as a Product Manager for the IoT platform and Samsung Electronics as a Principal Engineer leading GPS navigation device development. Additionally, Sun-Gi was a Research Engineer at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, focusing on innovative device solutions in a 4G environment. Sun-Gi holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
