Kihwan Kim is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in software development and research. Currently, Kihwan serves as Corporate Vice President and Head of XR and Immersive Software at Samsung Electronics, overseeing the commercialization of XR and Avatar software for various devices. Prior to this role, Kihwan held the position of Principal Research Scientist at NVIDIA, leading initiatives in 3D computer vision and autonomous driving technologies. Kihwan's career also includes research work at Disney Research and technical roles at Samsung SDS and the Republic of Korea Air Force. Kihwan holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University.
