Aparna Tata has extensive experience in the engineering field, currently serving as a Leading Engineer at Samsung Electro-Mechanics since May 2012, where previous roles included Software Engineer. Prior to this position, Aparna worked at the Central Research Laboratory of Bharat Electronics Limited as a Member Research Staff from October 2009 to April 2012. Notable projects during this time include prototyping Object Recognition using SIFT and designing color/texture-based feature extraction modules for Content Based Image Retrieval, as well as developing Thermal Infrared Camera/Image Processing modules in VHDL. Educational qualifications include a Master of Technology in Digital Systems and Communication from the National Institute of Technology Calicut and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Andhra University.
