Scott Knight

Senior Vice President, Sales Engineering at Samsara

Scott Knight has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Scott began their career as a Computer Specialist at the U.S. Geological Survey before moving on to Nortel Networks, where they worked as a System Engineer in the Access Networks department. At Nortel Networks, they were responsible for conducting Beta trials for new product features and providing technical support to customers.

In 2001, Scott joined Zhone Technologies as a Customer Support Engineer, where they focused on data networking for the Access Node product line. Scott then transitioned to CipherTrust, where they served as a Network Engineer and later as the Manager of Infrastructure Systems. In these roles, they maintained company networks and servers, including switches, firewalls, load balancers, and customer-facing and internal servers.

Scott's career continued to progress, and in 2006, they joined Juniper Networks as a Senior Systems Engineer. During their time at Juniper Networks, they gained extensive experience in systems engineering.

In 2012, Scott moved to Cisco Meraki, where they held various roles including Systems Engineer, Cloud Networking Systems Engineer, and Director of Systems Engineering in the Cloud Networking Group. Their responsibilities included managing and leading teams and providing technical expertise in cloud networking.

Most recently, Scott has been working at Samsara, Inc, where they held positions as the Director of Sales Engineering and Vice President of Sales Engineering. Samsara is a company that focuses on improving efficiency, safety, and quality through connected sensors and software.

Throughout their career, Scott Knight has demonstrated a strong technical background and leadership abilities, making him a valuable asset to any organization.

Scott Knight obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Scott attended the institute from 1995 to 2000.
