Thomas Grand has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. Starting their career as a PWR Systems Engineer at British Energy in 1998, they later joined IBM as an Energy & Utilities Consultant in 2000. From 2006 to 2010, they served as a Senior Energy & Utilities Consultant at AREVA, before transitioning to the role of Strategic Marketing Analyst, Renewables Marketing Director, and eventually Vice President - Strategic Marketing.
In 2015, Thomas moved to Dassault Systèmes, where they initially worked as an Industry Solution Leader in the Energy, Process, and Utilities sector. Thomas then progressed to the position of Vice President, overseeing Energy, Process, and Utilities from 2016 to 2018, and later as the Vice President - Energy & Materials from 2019 to 2021.
Thomas joined Samp in 2022, initially serving as their COO & Head of Sales. Following this role, they are currently working as the COO.
Thomas Grand has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Digital Systems Engineering from the University of the West of England, which they received from 1997 to 2000. Prior to this, they attained an Associate of Engineering degree in Power Engineering and Industrial Automation from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, which they completed from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, they hold three Master's degrees in Energy Management from ESCP Business School, BI Norwegian Business School, and IFP School, all completed from 2009 to 2010.
