Amitabha Banerjee is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in performance and scalability challenges across multiple technology domains. Currently, as a Senior Principal Engineer at SambaNova Systems since February 2022, Amitabha focuses on enhancing machine learning solutions for enterprises. Previously, a Senior Staff Engineer at VMware from October 2012 to February 2022, notable contributions included advancements in vSphere and vSAN, particularly optimizing networking performance and automation for testing processes. Prior roles include Principal Software Engineer at Oracle Corporation, where Amitabha was responsible for performance improvements in Infiniband technologies for Oracle's engineered systems, and an Associate Researcher at UC Davis, advising PhD students on network traffic efficiency projects.
