Freddy Makgere is currently the Operations Manager at Samancor Chrome, responsible for managing the Pelletizing/sintering and Crusher plants since April 2018. Prior experience includes serving as Manager of Operations at ArcelorMittal South Africa from October 2014 to March 2018, overseeing operations at the Heavy Structural Mill in Witbank, which involved production and logistics planning. Freddy also held the role of Production Manager in the Secondary Metallurgy department within the steel making industry. Previous roles include Process Engineer at Columbus Stainless and Metallurgical Engineer at ArcelorMittal South Africa where responsibilities encompassed various aspects of metallurgy processes. Educational credentials consist of a Master's in Metallurgical Engineering and a Management Advancement Programme from the University of the Witwatersrand, along with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Physics from Vista University.
