Ka (Michael) Zhang has a wide range of work experience. Starting in 2013, Ka worked as a Portfolio Analyst for Associated Students of UC Santa Barbara, where they were responsible for investing $75,000 to maximize return on student funds. In 2015, Ka worked as an Event Promoter for both Baja Sharkeez Santa Barbara and Northwestern Mutual, where they demonstrated and provided information on promoted products/services, identified customer needs and requirements, set door prices and organized special promotions, and liaised with security and bar staff. In 2016, Ka worked as a Director of Sales and Business Development for UniRui, a CX Solution and Business Development for Oracle, and a Line Production Coordinator for Dream Chasers, Let's Go!. In 2019, Ka worked as a VP of Wealth, Senior Wealth Associate, and Wealth Associate for Cred. Finally, in 2020 Ka worked as a Director of Corporate Development for SALT Lending, and in 2021 Ka worked as a Consultant for TrustToken.

Ka (Michael) Zhang attended Thousand Oaks High School, followed by UC Santa Barbara, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Statistics with an emphasis in Economics in 2016. Ka (Michael) also obtained a Technology Management Certification from UC Santa Barbara in 2016.
