Laurel Cannon Alder is an experienced arts and community leader currently serving as the Deputy Director at the Salt Lake City Arts Council since September 2024. With a robust background in nonprofit management, Alder has held multiple leadership roles at Utah State University, including Foundation Board Member, President of the Alumni Association, and Trustee of the Board of Trustees. Previous positions include Grants Manager and Community Arts Specialist at the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, Manager at JMC Management Services LLC, and Associate Director of Marketing & Development at Tanner Dance, University of Utah College of Fine Arts.
