Melanie Ried is an experienced fashion professional with a strong background in pattern cutting and atelier management. Currently serving as the Head of Atelier and Pattern Cutting at SALONI since January 2022, Melanie previously held the position of Atelier Manager and Creative Pattern Cutter at MCQ on a maternity cover basis from October 2020 to December 2021. Prior to that, Melanie worked at Mulberry Company (design) Ltd. from February 2013 to August 2020 in a similar capacity. Additional experience includes roles as a Freelance Creative Sample and Production Pattern Cutter at Erdem, a Creative Pattern Cutter at Vivienne Westwood, and an Atelier Manager and Head Creative Pattern Cutter at Jasmine Di Milo. Early career began at CATHERINE WALKER from 2003 to 2006, providing foundational skills as a Creative Sample Pattern Cutter and Design Assistant. Melanie Ried holds a Master’s Degree from the Accredited German Master School for Fashion in Munich, Germany, earned between 2000 and 2003.
