Janet Sluggett is an accomplished professional in public health and pharmacy, currently serving as an Enterprise Fellow and Senior Research Fellow at the University of South Australia since March 2020. Janet holds positions as a Non-Executive Director at both Southern Cross Care (SA, NT & VIC) Inc and the Australia Medic Alert Foundation, and is an Affiliate Post-doctoral Researcher at SAHMRI. Since 2010, Janet has also worked as a Professional Services Pharmacist at CPIE Pharmacy Services and has operated as a self-employed accredited pharmacist performing medicines reviews. Janet has held various research fellowships, including an Adjunct Research Fellow and NHMRC Early Career Fellow at Monash University, and has international experience as a Visiting Research Fellow at institutions such as the University of Eastern Finland and Kaiser Permanente. Janet earned a Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of South Australia, along with a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Newcastle, and a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from the University of South Australia.
