Joel Martinez possesses extensive experience in management and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Mayor of Port of Spain since December 2016, Joel previously held the position of Agency Manager at Sagicor Life Inc and at Sagicor Life Insurance Company from January 2000 to July 2012. Joel’s professional journey began as a Sales Agent at Crown Life Caribbean Ltd from November 1983 to February 1991. Joel is an alumnus of Belmont Boys Secondary School, having completed studies there from 1971 to 1976.
