Sydney Kopp-Richardson is an experienced professional in advocacy and program development, currently serving as the Director of the National LGBTQ+ Elder Housing Initiative at SAGE since January 2019. Sydney has extensive expertise in housing development and cultural competency, working on national strategies to expand LGBTQ elder housing and organizing SAGE's intergenerational conference. Previously, Sydney served as Director of Program Services at the Supportive Housing Network of New York, managing membership and policy advocacy for over 200 housing organizations. Experience also includes roles at the New York City Anti-Violence Project, where Sydney coordinated training and LGBTQ crisis support, and positions focused on social justice and community development at The New School and other organizations. Sydney holds a Master of Science in Urban Policy Analysis from The New School and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Women's Studies from Beloit College.
