Shanmugam Palaniappan is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and architecture roles across prominent companies. Currently serving as SVP Engineering at Sagent, Shanmugam has held significant positions such as VP of Engineering at Metrika and CTO, SaaS Platform & VP for Scale, Reliability & Performance at DataRobot. Previous roles include Senior Director of Customer Field Architecture & Principal Evangelist and Sr Director of Software Engineering at Salesforce, along with Senior Director positions at Demandware (a Salesforce company) in Performance & Platform Engineering and Enterprise Architecture. Shanmugam holds a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Harvard University and has additional educational background from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University.
