Rich Schneider brings 40 years of advisory consulting experience in a variety of industries and with organizations of all sizes. He has served as a trusted advisor for leaders who have grown into ever increasing responsibilities and achieved multiple successes. He works with boards and executive management teams on challenges of growth, new business entry, and pursuing big opportunities.
Rich was a Senior Partner in the strategy practice of Deloitte Consulting LLP. Over the course of his 25-year career there, he focused on clients in both the healthcare/life science and the consumer products industries. He led the strategy practice for 7 years and led the firm’s MBA recruiting program for 5 years. Prior to that he was one of the founding members of Braxton Associates, a strategy consulting firm, during which he co-founded their London office.
In addition to his role with Sage Partners, Rich pursues other areas in which he is passionate. He has been a Visiting Lecturer in Management in the MBA program at the Johnson School at Cornell University since 2009 and served on the school’s Advisory Council from 2006-2014. He is a Career Coach at Harvard Business School where he advises students and alumni on all facets of career strategy and fulfillment. He recently created and led a webinar for over 400 alumni titled “Rethinking Retirement” that focused on the process and decisions leading to a fulfilling life after full time employment. He has facilitated keynote panels at the annual HBS Marketing Innovation Summit conference. Finally, he is an active partner with Social Venture Partners in Boston, and serves on the Investment Committee in addition to leading consulting engagements with portfolio organizations.
Rich received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a “semi-retired” instrument-rated private pilot, amateur race car driver, and blue-water sailor. He currently enjoys tamer hobbies such as advanced photography and boating along the New England coast. He and his wife live in the Boston area.
