John-Eric Bertrand graduated magna cum laude as Commercial Engineer from University of Louvain (UCL). He holds a master’s degree in International Management from Community of European Management Schools (CEMS) and an MBA from INSEAD.

He is an Investment Manager at Ackermans & van Haaren (AvH), a Belgian quoted group focused on a limited number of strategic participations. He has been a part of AVH since 2008 and has served as the Board member in several companies, including Egemin Automation, Groupe Financière Duval, Bracht Deckers & Mackelbert (BDM), Assurances Continentales (ASCO), Alural Group and Alcotra.

Before joining AvH, John-Eric Bertrand worked as a Senior Consultant at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants (2006-2008), where his focus areas were operational improvement and strategic due-diligences. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte (2001-2004).
