Karl-Johan Sørensen is a graduate research assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the Digital Structures Group, working under Professor Caitlin Mueller since September 2023. Previously, Karl-Johan co-founded SAGA Space Architects from May 2018 to July 2021 and served as a course teacher at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where advanced 3D modeling and rendering were taught to bachelor students in late 2018. Additionally, from September 2016 to June 2018, Karl-Johan was the 3D Print Workshop Director at the same institution, overseeing 3D printer acquisition and integration into the curriculum. Karl-Johan's education includes a Master of Science in Architecture & Computation and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from MIT, as well as a Bachelor of Architecture from the Royal Danish Academy and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from DTU. Other educational experiences include the Space Studies Program at the International Space University and an IB Diploma from UWC South East Asia.
