Luca Bitelli has a strong background in engineering and technical roles. Luca began their career at SAFIM Spa in 2015 as an R&D Design Engineer, where they focused on hydraulic components for agricultural and earth-moving machines. In this role, they led a team and served as the main point of contact for the Trailer Brake Unit (TBU) project, which involved designing a new concept valve compliant with EU standards. Luca's responsibilities included customizing solutions based on customer requirements, managing testing activities, and ensuring product validation.
Prior to their role at SAFIM Spa, Luca worked at CSI Spa from 2013 to 2014 as an Approvals and Inspections Collaborator for Ferrari S.p.A. In this position, they managed relationships with worldwide vehicle importers, ministries, and testing centers, and was responsible for planning and supervising homologation activities and tests. Luca also prepared technical documentation, including information and test documents and inspection reports.
In 2013, Luca gained experience as a trainee at BTU Cottbus, where they worked on the COMET project as part of the Automation Chair team. This international project was detailed in their Master's thesis.
Additionally, Luca had a trainee position at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2010. Luca worked in a team for data acquisition of residual stresses on pump bodies in the Mechanical Technology Laboratory, and the findings were elaborated in their Bachelor's thesis.
Luca Bitelli earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia from 2006 to 2010. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Automotive Engineering from the same university from 2010 to 2013.
