Marcus Buck has a diverse range of work experience. Marcus is currently working as the Head of Marketing, Product & Insight at Saffron Building Society since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Yorkshire Building Society as the Customer Strategy & Propositions Manager (within Office of the CEO) from December 2019 to May 2022. In 2019, Marcus was a Marketing Academy Scholar at The Marketing Academy from May 2019 to February 2020.

Before joining Yorkshire Building Society, Marcus worked at KFC UK & Ireland as a Senior Brand Manager, Innovation from May 2017 to December 2019. Marcus also gained experience at Unilever where they held various roles including Brand Manager, Kids & Baby Care; Global Assistant Brand Manager, Professional Hair Care; Assistant Brand Manager, Male Skin Cleansing; and also completed the Unilever Future Leaders Programme, specializing in marketing.

Marcus started their career at The Engine Group as an Account Executive, working on key accounts such as Santander, Bupa, Radox (Unilever), and T-Mobile. Marcus also worked as a Graduate Trainee at The Engine Group from September 2011 to August 2013.

Prior to their career in marketing and advertising, Marcus interned at Lloyds Banking Group in 2010.

Marcus Buck completed their education with a Master of Arts (MA) degree in History from the University of Cambridge, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2007, they attended St Edward's College in Liverpool, earning their GCSE and A Level qualifications. Marcus also pursued a Mini MBA in Brand Management through the Marketing Week Mini MBA program with Mark Ritson, although the specific time frame for this is unknown.
