Cortland Schurian has a long and varied career in the apparel industry. Cortland began their career in 1991 as a Pattern Maker and Developer for Converse. In 1999, they became a Category Manager for Puma, followed by a role as Global Director of Footwear for Globe International Ltd. in 2003. In 2006, they took on a dual role as Production Manager and Product Line Manager for Planetearth Clothing, Holden, and Adio Footwear. In 2010, they became Creative Director for Alexander Andrew, Inc. (dba FallTech). Most recently, in 2018, they were appointed Vice President of Product for SAFEWAZE.

Cortland Schurian attended Bunker Hill Community College from 1989 to 1991, where they studied Culinary Arts but did not obtain a degree.
