Sharon Otieno is an experienced cyber security professional currently serving as Cyber Prevent Manager at Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC since November 2021. In this role, Sharon oversees and manages daily operations of the organization's cyber security infrastructure while leading a team to design, implement, and manage cyber security solutions. Prior experience includes serving as the Endpoint Security Lead and Security Infrastructure Engineer at Safaricom PLC from September 2016 to November 2021, where responsibilities included building a security team and implementing cyber security controls to address threats. Earlier roles included internships at Safaricom, Kenya Pipeline Co. Ltd, and CDC/KEMRI, providing a foundation in technology security and ICT. Sharon holds a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication and Information Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, completed in 2017, and attended Bunyore Girls High School from 2007 to 2010.
