Zachary Mokua is an experienced Principal Engineer with a strong background in telecommunications and network strategy. Currently at Safaricom PLC since April 2015, Zachary drives 5G strategy and SD-WAN formulation, and has played a key role in cost-saving network RFP initiatives, resulting in over $100 million in savings. Previous roles include Network Architect Design Data & IP Manager at Telkom Kenya - Orange, where Zachary focused on IP architecture design and optimization, and IP/MPLS Engineer at Vodacom Business, involving network performance and service management. Zachary holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi, as well as a degree in Computer Engineering from Moi University, complemented by ITIL training.
