Kat Dearstyne has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2019, they started working at Drexel University as a Teaching Assistant, assisting with teaching responsibilities. Kat also served as a Research Assistant from September 2019 to January 2021, contributing to research projects. From April 2019 to September 2020, Kat worked at Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer, developing software solutions. Kat then transitioned to the role of System Engineer from September 2020 to April 2021, focusing on system engineering tasks. In 2021, they joined the University of Notre Dame as a Research Assistant, where they are currently involved in research activities. Most recently, Kat became a co-founder and Chief Technology and Innovation Officer (CTIO) at SAFA in May 2022.
Kat Dearstyne has a strong education background in Computer Science. Kat obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Drexel University, where they studied from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science at the University of Notre Dame. This program commenced in 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2026.
