Vatsal V. is a Senior System Safety Engineer at Joby Aviation since September 2024, with extensive experience in system safety and engineering across various companies. Vatsal has been a committee member for SAE International's S-18 and E-40 Electrified Propulsion Committees, and also participates in the Safety Committee of the Vertical Flight Society. Previously, Vatsal served as a System Safety Engineer at Beta Technologies, leading the System Safety Team for eVTOL aircraft, and was involved in comprehensive safety assessments and establishing engineering processes. Vatsal's career includes technical roles at Gulfstream Aerospace and Airbus, focusing on aircraft configuration management and electrical power distribution systems. Vatsal holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
