Craig Rupp has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Craig is the Founder/CEO/Farmer of Sabanto, a company that deploys autonomy into agriculture. Craig was the first to autonomously plant a farmer's field in multiple states and run multiple autonomous systems for over 48 hours non-stop.
Prior to Sabanto, Craig worked as a Senior Director of Engineering/Senior Fellow at The Climate Corporation from 2014 to 2018.
Craig co-founded Rough Riders Communications/Comanche Networks in 2008 and served as the Co-Founder. Craig was responsible for architecting a portable satellite-based data system deployed in drilling sites throughout the Oklahoma and Texas panhandle, making Rough Riders the second largest data provider in the Anadarko basin.
Craig also co-founded 640 Labs in 2012 and served as the Co-Founder/CTO. The company created an open-data platform for automatic collection of agriculture data and was acquired by Monsanto in 2014.
Craig worked at National Instruments as the Chief Measurement Architect - RF from 2005 to 2012. Craig architected and designed measurement algorithms for various technologies and optimized RF manufacturing solutions globally.
From 2002 to 2005, Craig was the Founder/President of Alliance Technologies Group. Craig served as a professional witness for patent litigation and developed patented spread spectrum, multi-channel detection and communications scheme for John Deere's autonomous lawn mowers.
At John Deere, they worked as a Systems Engineer - AMS in 2001 and was responsible for designing and introducing GPS/L-band receiver products and integrated displays into Deere's platforms.
Prior to that, Craig co-founded Alliance Technologies Group in 1995. Craig developed modulation toolkits for National Instruments, a real-time Viterbi decoder for Chameleon Systems, and an image recognition seat-occupancy classifier for Cherry Automotive.
At Motorola, Craig served as Lead Engineer - Iridium and Senior Engineer - GSM, where they architected the baseband portion of the mobile station, developed network simulators, and implemented embedded modem software.
Lastly, they worked at Westell as a Member of the Technical Staff - ADSL and was responsible for designing hardware and echo cancellation algorithm for an ADSL modem.
Craig Rupp obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Iowa State University, completing their studies from 1984 to 1988. Craig went on to pursue a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE), specializing in Signal Processing at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they completed their degree from 1989 to 1990.
