Matt Alvar has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of art and design. Matt started their career as a Design Intern at Maurices in 2003, followed by their role as a Graphic Designer at H.T. Klatzky & Associates from 2004 to 2006. During this time, they worked on various projects, including retail campaigns and identity materials for clients in the healthcare and finance sectors.
In 2006, Matt joined Carney Group as a Lead Graphic Designer, where they handled projects ranging from print and web design to packaging and media presentations. Matt also worked with clients such as Public Radio International and Donaldson Air Filters.
From 2010 to 2014, Matt worked at Infinity Direct as a Digital Designer. Here, they focused on designing for multiple mediums, including websites, emails, and direct mail. Matt eventually became the lead designer for the new digital department.
Matt then moved on to Catapult Marketing in 2015 as a Sr. Digital Art Director, where they were responsible for implementing design work for digital assets, especially for Hormel's 22 brand assets.
In 2020, Matt joined Hawkeye as a Senior Art Director, where they collaborated with a team to create major brand campaigns, email campaigns, social media campaigns, logos, storyboarding, clothing design, and more for clients like Google, Talking Rain, and Adobe.
Currently, Matt is working at Saatchi & Saatchi X as an Art Director starting in 2023.
Matt Alvar attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth from 2000 to 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design.
