Marsalis W. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Marsalis currently works at RxBenefits, Inc. as an Account Manager, where they are responsible for managing and administering client accounts. Marsalis is highly engaged with clients throughout the client lifecycle and ensures compliance with plan rules. Prior to this, Marsalis worked at Health Alliance Plan, where they held multiple roles. As the Coordinator of Pharmacy Benefits, they organized and implemented pharmacy benefit management policies and procedures. Marsalis also served as a Senior Pharmacy Analyst and Pharmacy Analyst, where they facilitated the prior authorization process and reviewed pharmacy prior authorizations for Medicare and Commercial members. Earlier in their career, Marsalis worked as a Pharmacy Analyst at Henry Ford Health System and as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at MeridianRx, St. John Health System, and Detroit Medical Center. In addition, they briefly worked as a Lead Instructor at Dorsey Schools.

Marsalis W. started their education at Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences and completed high school there in 2005, with a focus on computer science. In 2005-2006, they attended Everest Institute where they obtained a diploma in Pharmacy Technician. Afterward, from 2018 to 2021, Marsalis pursued an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from Macomb Community College. Marsalis further continued their education at Walsh College from 2022 to 2023, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Business Administration and Management, General. Marsalis also holds the certification of a Certified Pharmacy Technician granted by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
