Gonzalo Illán, PhD, currently serves as a Remote Healthcare Interpreter for DA Languages and holds roles as a Translator and Medical & Legal Translator for TaikaTranslations LLC and Lexxika, respectively. Additionally, Gonzalo is an Auditor and technical expert for the Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (ENAC) and has experience as a Legal Interpreter with SeproTec Multilingual Solutions. Previous positions include Researcher in Aquaculture and Marine Resources for ANFACO-CECOPESCA and Postdoctoral Researcher at FAU's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. Gonzalo also taught Science and Technology in secondary education and served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Aquaculture & Marine Biology. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Infectious Pathology and Epidemiology and ongoing studies towards a Bachelor's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from Fundación Universitaria Internacional de La Rioja.
