Stefan Eiriksson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public service and law enforcement. Currently serving as Director General of RUV Iceland since March 2020, Stefan oversees the independent public service broadcaster's mission to inform, educate, and entertain. Prior to this role, Stefan was Chief Executive Officer for the City of Reykjavik, managing central administration and public relations from September 2014 to February 2020. Stefan has also held several significant positions, including Director of the Department of Welfare for the City of Reykjavik, Teacher at Reykjavik University School of Law, Commissioner of the Reykjavik Metropolitan Police, and Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Justice. Stefan's expertise encompasses criminal law, police affairs, and welfare services, supported by a legal degree from Háskóli Íslands. Additional educational credentials include participation in the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative.
