John Nettles is the current president of the Rural Wireless Association. John has held this position since January 2000. Prior to that, they were a member of the Selma Rotary Club from January 1994 to December 2015, and they served as the club's president from 2011 to 2012. From March 1982 to August 1988, they were a captain in the US Army, where they served as a maintenance management officer with the 568th Engineer Battalion in Hanau Germany, as XO of Maintenance Troop with the 11th ACR in Fulda Germany, and as a materiel management officer with the 710th Maintenance Battalion in Fort Drum NY.

John Nettles has a MBA from The University of Alabama and a BA in John'story from The University of Alabama.
