Neha Batra is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering - Core Productivity at GitHub, with a career progression that includes roles such as Senior Director and Director of Engineering, focusing on communities and product development. Since December 2017, Neha has been instrumental in launching key products like GitHub Desktop and GitHub CLI, implementing user research practices, and normalizing release cadences. Neha holds a position as a Board Member at the Ruby on Rails Foundation and acts as a Board Advisor for OnLoop, contributing to AI-driven team-building solutions. Previously, Neha has held roles in various organizations, including Pivotal Labs, Floored, and Rent The Runway, and has a background in energy consulting. Neha graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2010.
