Julian Massel is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in transformation and technology leadership across various organizations. Currently serving as Group IT Director at Ruby Energy since December 2023, Julian's previous roles include Director of IT Business Transformation at L&Q and Director of Transformation & Technology at Trafford Housing Trust. Julian has also held multiple senior positions at Rochdale Borough Council, including Assistant Director Information, Customers and Communities, and Interim Director of Customers and Corporate Services. Julian's expertise further extends to a secondment as ICT Programme Director for the Greater Manchester Public Services Reform Team and various head of ICT roles at the Equality and Human Rights Commission. Early career milestones include serving as ICT Programme Lead at the Department for Communities and Local Government and Head of ICT and Modernisation at the Disability Rights Commission. Julian holds a degree in Electronics and Communications from the University of Humberside.
