Melissa Girtz Scherer has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Starting with an internship at Piper Jaffray in 2004, they gained valuable professional exposure. In 2005, they joined U.S. Bank as a Project Management Assistant. Melissa then transitioned to RTVision in 2006, where they began as an Account Manager and later moved up to the role of Project Manager in 2008. In 2014, they took on the responsibility of Director of Operations & Product Development, PmP, until 2018. After that, Melissa rose to the position of Vice President at RTVision until August 2022. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Executive Officer of RTVision, a role they assumed in August 2022.

Melissa Girtz Scherer holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which they obtained from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business between 2016 and 2018. Their MBA focused on Economics, Strategy, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of St. Thomas from 2001 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Finance and Marketing.
