Sandy Taylor is an experienced professional with a strong background in urban planning and environmental sustainability. Currently serving as a Green Urbanist at Green Urbanist since 2014, Sandy played a key role in establishing Birmingham's first Green Commission and developing its Roadmap. As a long-standing member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 1974, Sandy held various influential positions, including Chair of the West Midlands Regional Activities Committee. Additional roles include serving as a Trustee for The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country, Committee Member of the Calthorpe Residents Society, and Chair of the Futures Network West Midlands. Previous positions at Birmingham City Council included leading teams on Climate Change, Sustainability, and Economic Strategy. Educational credentials include an MA in Economic Science from the University of Aberdeen and a Diploma in Town and Regional Planning from Leeds Polytechnic.
