Pamela Clifford is an accomplished planning professional with extensive experience in strategic leadership and development management. Currently serving as Chair of Heads of Planning (Scotland) and Chief Planning Officer at East Ayrshire Council, Pamela provides vital direction for planning services while facilitating quality developments. As the Scottish RTPI Convenor for 2024, Pamela is active in shaping policy decisions and represents the interests of planning professionals. Previous roles include Planning, Building Standards and Environmental Health Manager at West Dunbartonshire Council, where Pamela established significant initiatives such as the Place and Design Panel and the Antonine Wall Project. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Town and Country Planning and a Bachelor of Arts (HONS) in Geography, both obtained from Queen's University Belfast.
