Beth Jones is an accomplished planning professional with extensive experience in policy development and urban planning. Currently serving as the Principal Planning Policy Officer at Colchester City Council since July 2018, key responsibilities include delivering the Colchester Local Plan and representing the Council during examination sessions. Prior experience includes roles at Essex County Council as a Development and Flood Risk Officer and Waste and Minerals Planner, along with active involvement in the Royal Town Planning Institute as Chair of the East of England Young Planners. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Town Planning from Anglia Ruskin University and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Natural Hazards from Coventry University.
