Melody Liu is currently an office assistant at Royal Roads University. Prior to that, they worked as an HR manager at Bardel Entertainment and Piranha Games. Melody also has experience as a human resources advisor and consultant.

Melody Liu has a Doctor of Social Sciences from Royal Roads University, a School of Architecture & Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University. Melody is also a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach from The Coaches Training Institute and has a Management Certificate in Human Resources Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In addition, Liu has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Certificate in Liberal Arts from Simon Fraser University.
