Albert G. Fowler, OMM is a distinguished figure in the fields of storytelling and ministry, currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors at the Canadian College of Performing Arts since October 2022. As an oral storyteller for YYJ Storyteller since September 1969, Albert is actively involved with the Storytellers of Canada and the Victoria Storytellers Guild, delivering inspiring narratives across diverse platforms. Since July 1969, Albert has also held the role of minister within The United Church of Canada, currently serving as a commissioner to General Council 44. Previous roles include serving as a military chaplain in the Canadian Forces from July 1971 to July 1995 and revitalizing the congregation as the pastoral minister at Garden City United Church from July 1995 to January 2009. Albert has organized national storytelling conferences and owned a personal history coaching and writing business from April 2009 to April 2012. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in History from Carleton University and degrees in Theology and English from Pine Hill Divinity Hall and Mount Allison University, respectively.
