Clemens Reichel is an esteemed academic in the field of Mesopotamian Archaeology, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto since December 2008, where responsibilities also include curatorial duties for the Ancient Near East at the Royal Ontario Museum. Previously, Clemens held the position of Senior Research Associate at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, directing significant archaeological projects such as the Hamoukar Expedition and the Diyala Project. With a solid educational foundation that includes a Ph.D. in Mesopotamian Archaeology from the University of Chicago, along with an M.A. from the University of London and additional studies at The University of Freiburg, Clemens has contributed extensively to the understanding of ancient Near Eastern civilizations through research and teaching.
