Jhilik Majumdar currently serves as a Project Associate at the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) since May 2024, contributing to the CAMAERA project focused on enhancing atmospheric monitoring through advanced data science. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Researcher at Nikhef from May 2021 to April 2024 and a Postdoctoral Researcher at DESY from September 2018 to May 2021. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Hamburg (2014-2018), a Master's degree in Physics from Jadavpur University (2012-2014), and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Jadavpur University (2009-2012). Jhilik's research has explored gamma-ray spectra modulations in Galactic pulsars and has involved significant data analysis with the gamma-ray telescope Fermi-LAT. Additionally, Jhilik completed a summer internship at the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences in 2013, receiving a fellowship from the Indian Academy of Sciences.
