Sophie Thompson is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in urban design, landscape design, and masterplanning. Currently serving as a Quality Review Panel Member for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea since May 2023, Sophie has been a Director at LDA Design since 2006. Additionally, Sophie acts as an Expert Advisor for the High Streets Task Force from October 2020 to November 2024 and previously contributed as a Design Review Panel Member for the London Borough of Camden from March 2017 to August 2020. Prior roles include Associate at EDAW (now AECOM) from 1999 to 2005, where Sophie led significant design projects in various international cities, and Landscape Architect at FPCR from 1999 to 2000. Educational qualifications include a BSc (Dual Hons) and Dip LA (distinction) from The University of Sheffield, as well as a Chartership in Landscape Design from The Landscape Institute.
