Samuel McFarland, MA, AMFT, SUDCC, currently serves as a Primary Therapist at Rosebay Behavioral Health and has a diverse background in mental health and substance use counseling. Previous experiences include roles as a Primary Therapist at Alta Mira Recovery Programs and a Mental Health Clinician at BAY VIEW HUNTERS POINT FOUND. Samuel also served as the Lead Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor at Options Recovery Services and completed a traineeship at California Institute of Integral Studies, gaining practical experience toward marriage and family therapy licensure. Additionally, Samuel facilitated art workshops at Roots and Freedom Community Clinic, promoting community engagement through expressive arts. Samuel holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Expressive Arts from California Institute of Integral Studies and has certifications in Addiction Studies and a BA in Kinesiology from California State University - East Bay, alongside an Associate's degree in Fire Science from Los Medanos College.
