Maksym Sobkov has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Maksym most recently served as the Head of Office at Room 8 Group since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Winkelmann as a Koordynator ds. cudzoziemców from June 2018 to April 2022. Before joining Winkelmann, they held the position of Kierownik projektów at Misot Sp. z o.o. where they managed construction projects and handled the legalizations of residence and work permits for foreigners from March 2015 to May 2018. Maksym began their career as a Lawyer at Pavlenko Legal Group in December 2008 and worked there until February 2015.

Maksym Sobkov received their first degree, a Specjalist in Prawoznawstwo, from Czerniowecki Uniwersytet Państwowy im. Jurija Fedkowycza, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Later, they pursued further education and obtained a Magistr in Zarządzanie organizacją i zarządzanie personelem from Narodowy Uniwersytet Lotnictwa, Ukraina, Kijów, studying there from 2012 to 2014.
