Carlos is an energy industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience spearheading the engineering, construction and operations of power plants and other critical energy infrastructure in key markets across South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Prior to joining the Rondo team, he held senior-level management roles for multinational organizations including Summum, SNC-Lavalin and Engie, where he managed a broad portfolio of large-scale energy infrastructure projects spanning the electrical, mining, oil & gas and petrochemical sectors. Carlos started his career as a lead engineer for the Reactor Institute Delft, studying the safety of generation IV nuclear reactors. He also worked for the Siemens Boiler manufacturer NEM B.V., where he was responsible for system integration of several thermal power plants. Carlos earned an MBA from Tulane University, as well as a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology.
