Wendy Vu began their work experience in 2018 as a Toyota Production Engineer Paint Co-Op at Toyota North America. Wendy then worked as a Design Release Engineer at General Motors in 2018. In 2019, Wendy worked as a Stamping Production Engineer at Toyota North America. Wendy then joined Virginia Tech in 2017, where they were a Hybrid Electric Vehicle Team (HEVT) Power Systems Integration Team Member and a Lab Technician. Wendy's most recent position is as an Advanced Concepts Mechanical Engineer at Romeo Power, Inc., which they started in 2021.

Wendy Vu attended Virginia Tech from 2014 to 2020, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
