Hariharan Venkata is an experienced software engineer and private investor with a robust career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Private Investor at OpenAI and SpaceX since March 2023 and December 2020 respectively, Hariharan has also held significant roles at Roku Inc. as both Manager of Software Engineering and Senior Software Engineer since June 2011, where contributions included the development and launch of the Roku iPhone app. Additional experience includes co-founding Ctrl Bit, where the Poof application for iOS addressed privacy issues on Facebook, and serving as a Server Engineer at mywaves, where an iOS library for app monetization was architected. Previous roles at Xilinx involved API design and implementation for automated testing and web applications. Hariharan began an academic path as a Teaching Assistant at Western Michigan University, following completion of a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same institution.
