Denielle Emans, Ph.D., is an accomplished academic and design professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Roger Williams University since August 2021. Emans has extensive experience in higher education, previously holding positions as an Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and as an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Zayed University. Additionally, Emans founded and served as Senior Designer at Sprocket House, served as Art Director at Mottis, and has been active in AIGA since 2001, including roles as Education Director and AIGA Education Chair. Educated at The University of Queensland with a Ph.D. focused on communication for social change, Emans also holds a Master's in Graphic Design from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
